Borno Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has appointed Chief Kester Ogualili, an Anambra indigene, and Alhaji Yusuf Alao, an Oyo indigene, into his kitchen cabinet.

The duo was among 26 special advisers sworn-in at the Government House, Maiduguri on Wednesday. The Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, represented the governor at the ceremony.

While Chief Ogualili hails from Dunukofia local government area of Anambra State, Alhaji Alao is an indigene of Ogbomosho local government area of Oyo State.

The governor had on January 9 appointed both men who have lived in the state for many years and have been active loyalists of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Presidential spokesman, Lauretta Onochie hailed the Borno governor for taking the action.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, she said, “Borno State Governor Prof Zulum, Wednesday, swore in Chief Kester Ogualili and Alhaji Yusuf Alao from Oyo State, plus 24 others as special advisers. Chief Ogualili, an Igbo, hails from Dunukofia Local Govt Area Anambra, while Alao is Yoruba from Ogbomosho Local Govt Area.”
