Popular skit maker and singer, Isaac Aloma, widely known as ZicSaloma, has disclosed the challenging journey he faced within his own family as he pursued a career in entertainment. The artist shared details of his family’s lack of support and even opposition to his chosen path.
ZicSaloma, who rose to fame with his creative skits and music, revealed that his family, particularly his four brothers, did not endorse his decision to become an entertainer. Recounting his early attempts at singing in the house, he mentioned how his elder brothers would silence him and even go to the extent of destroying his music cassettes in an effort to deter him from pursuing music.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, ZicSaloma disclosed that when he ventured into content creation, his family members continued to oppose his career choice. Despite the lack of belief and support from his brothers, he emphasized that his mother stood by him during these challenging times.
Reflecting on a specific incident, ZicSaloma shared that when he was supposed to participate in a competition in South Africa, he faced resistance from his family. Instead of being accompanied by his siblings, he ended up taking friends on the trip because of his family’s lack of support.
Despite the initial setbacks, ZicSaloma proudly declared that he has now become the “chief cornerstone” of his family.
