The Peoples Democratic Party has reaffirmed its call for the removal of Amina Zakari as the Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party said alledged that Zakari was collaborating with the All Progressives Congress to post Resident Electoral Commissioners of its choice to Kogi and Bayelsa ahead of the forth-coming governorship elections in those states.
The party emphasised that as long as Zakari remains in office, it would not recognise the electoral body as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) but as the National Electoral Commission (NEC).
In a statement issued yesterday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, PDP explained that “Mrs. Zakari has a strong relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari and a very prominent APC North-west governor.
“Zakari was collaborating with the ruling party to post Resident Electoral Commissioners of its choice to Kogi and Bayelsa ahead of the forth-coming governorship elections in those states.”
