Nigerian singer Iyanya has responded to Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s recent claim that he cheated on her with fellow actress Tonto Dikeh during their relationship. Yvonne created quite a buzz on the internet when she released her memoir titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”
In Chapter 10 of her book, titled “Iyanya and My Love Life,” Yvonne delves into the details of her relationship with Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk and the heart-wrenching betrayal she experienced. She describes their romance as a fairy-tale affair, complete with romantic gestures like breakfast in bed. Yvonne even reveals how she believed their love was everlasting when Iyanya tattooed her initials, YN, on his wrist as a symbol of their commitment.
To her surprise, Yvonne claims that their relationship came to an end when she discovered that Iyanya was cheating on her with the popular actress Tonto Dikeh. According to Yvonne, an unknown person called her from Iyanya’s residence and informed her of Tonto’s frequent visits. Devastated by the revelation, Yvonne took to Twitter to confront Tonto, but the latter responded by telling her to move on from the relationship, emphasizing that feelings can change and Iyanya’s feelings for her had indeed changed.
In response to these allegations, Iyanya took to his Twitter handle on Monday, expressing his shock and promising to provide a detailed response later. He tweeted, “So Yvonne Nelson said I cheated on her with Tonto Dikeh? Oh wow. I’ll respond to this later. I may not write a book, but for now, I’ll watch the video that my new director just sent me, Love & Trust Ft Joeboy.“
Furthermore, Iyanya quoted a snapshot of the chapter from Yvonne’s book that described their affair and posed a question, asking for the name of the person who supposedly called her from his house. He made it clear that once that question is answered, he would address whether Yvonne’s accusations are true or false and reveal what actually transpired during their relationship.
