Nigerian actor and politician, Yul Edochie has taken to social media to wish his actor father, Pete Edochie, a happy 72nd birthday.
A seasoned administrator, broadcaster and actor, Edochie was born March 7, 1947, in Enugu State, Nigeria.
Although he began his acting career in the ’60s, Edochie came into the limelight in the ’80s when he played the role of Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.
Since then he has appeared in scores of movies and won multiple awards.
The administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo conferred the veteran actor with the national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) in 2003.
Taking to Twitter, the younger Edochie said: “Happy 72nd birthday Dad! Many more great yrs I wish you.”
