Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shocked his fans by announcing his decision to abandon Christianity and embrace traditional religion. This sudden change comes as a surprise, as Edochie had previously founded his own online church, The Salvation Ministry.
In a recent Instagram post, Edochie declared himself a “hardcore traditionalist,” stating that he will never abandon the ways of his forefathers. He claimed that Africans are abandoning their original religions due to fear of public opinion, which he described as an “abomination.”
Edochie’s post reads: “Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful religion, their originality. Abomination! I will never abandon the ways of my forefathers. It is built on truth, transparency, and fairness.”
This development is not the first time Edochie has expressed his interest in traditional religion. In December, he claimed that many Nigerian pastors are actually called to be native doctors but abandoned their original calling due to Western influence.
