Afrobeats superstar, Davido has replied to colleague, Dammy Krane, who claimed the Unavailable star is owing me.
Davido’s reply is contained in a Friday morning post on X, formerly Twitter.
Jumping on the controversy generated by Davido’s alleged failed business deal with Abusalami earlier this week, Dammy Krane accused Davido of not compensating him for writing the hook of his song, ‘Pere,’ and claimed that Davido sent individuals to physically assault him for speaking out at that time.
He first laid the allegation in 2022.
In his X post, Dammy Krane wrote, “I know it is hard for Rich people to pay debts but @davido if not for my sake Blooda, pay me my money, at least because of my daughter’s sake (your niece if at all). School fees are not easy in Nigeria now; everyone is trying to secure their future. We need money; it’s not a big deal.”
He added, “Let’s not forget @davido, you took Idowest from my record label. I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother, and I didn’t drag the artiste (because I had done my part to help him). Genuinely, I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote, after all.”
Taking to the same platform, Davido said Dammy Krane was also owing him unpaid royalties running into $450,000 (approximately N450 million) as well as for food and rent when he stayed at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, when he was homeless.
