You’re destroying your legacy with lies – Davido tells Oyetola

2 Min Read

Popular musician, David Adeleke aka Davido has chided Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State over claims of over-voting in the gubernatorial election won by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In a Monday tweet, Davido said that the governor was “spreading lies” and destroying his legacy with the claim.

The artiste expressed confidence that Governor-elect Adeleke, who is his uncle, would be sworn in on November 27.

He wrote, “You’re actually just a bad human being @GboyegaOyetola; no other way to put it. Spreading lies everywhere, destroying your legacy (not like you even have).

“It’s done and dusted. @inecnigeria, please, is there any such thing as over-voting with your new BVAS Machine? NOV 27th WE MOVE!!”.

Davido’s comment came a day after Senator Adeleke’s camp debunked a post claiming that he admitted before the Osun State Gubernatorial Election Petition Tribunal that there was over-voting in the July 16 polls.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Rasheed Olawale, the governor-elect blamed mischief makers for twisting his defence in the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Governor Oyetola.

The governor-elect said that there was no truth in Oyetola’s claim there was over-voting in 750 polling units, noting that the over-voting was created by incomplete data of Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) based on the unsynchronised BVAS report that was used by the petitioners.
