The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe as an “excellent lawmaker and fearless democrat” as he clocks 66.
The party stated this in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.
Abaribe, who is a former Deputy Governor of Abia State, was born on March 1, 1955.
According to the party, the senator has committed his life to the course of the common man, becoming a voice for the voiceless and a source of hope for many other.
“Over the years, Senator Abaribe has distinguished himself as a courageous leader, an exceptional technocrat, excellent lawmaker and fearless democrat, who stands for truth, justice, equity, fairness, entrenchment of rule of law and democratic tenets in our country.
“Senator Abaribe remains unshaking in fighting for the cause of the common man, particularly the oppressed and the downtrodden. He stands out as a voice for the voiceless and remains a source of hope for many in the quest for a just, equitable and democratic country.
“Our party particularly salutes Senator Abaribe for his fearless stand for the entrenchment of good governance in our country in line with the ideals of our party and the visions of her founding fathers,” the statement read in part.
The PDP congratulated Senator Abaribe and prayed to God to grant him many more fruitful years in the service of the nation and humanity at large.
