An anti-abortion campaigner, Obianuju Ekeocha has slammed Planned Parenthood for backing the Black Lives Matter protests across America.
Recall that protests had swept across the US in the wake of the May 25 death of George Floyd. The African-American man lost his life after a police officer, Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The non-profit organisation tweeted a message in support of protesters demanding an end to racial discrimination in the nation.
“We’re devastated, grieving, and outraged by violence against Black lives. We must continue to demand accountability, justice, and an end to the inequity that continues to define every moment of life for Black America from the racist institutions that uphold white supremacy,” read a June 2 tweet from Planned Parenthood’s verified Twitter handle.

Reacting to the tweet, Ekeocha accused Planned Parenthood of double standards, saying it was founded on “racist” principles and therefore should not be pretending to support black protests.
“Dear Planned Parenthood,
“You were founded on racist and eugenic principles.
“You will have to sit this one out,” Ekeocha, who describes herself as passionately pro-life, pro-woman, pro-family, pro-marriage, wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
