In the aftermath of Mercy Eke’s close miss in clinching the ultimate N120 million prize at the BBNaija All-Stars show, another former housemate, Tacha, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to tweet “lol” within minutes of the announcement.
Recall Mercy Eke emerged as the first runner-up in this year’s Big Brother show, with Ilebaye being crowned as the winner.
Tacha’s tweet seemed to mock Mercy Eke, suggesting that the only reason Mercy won during the Pepper Dem show was due to her disqualification. At the beginning of the show in July, Mercy had already stated her intention to prove that she won the previous season because of her immense fan support and to show she was truly worthy of winning.
However, it appears Ilebaye’s fanbase, had something in store for Mercy’s Mercenaries, by clinching the much desired price.
Shortly after her mockery tweet, “Are we clearrr now!!!???🤣🤣 Point proven yeees!!!??😁😂”, a netizen responded to Tacha, saying, “You’re talking from outside the club.” Tacha countered this response by claiming she owns the supposed club and highlighting her trending status at number 3 on the X trend table.
Difference is I OWN THE CLUB?? seen the trends recently?? TRENDING #3 Effortlessly! you and your park can’t relate. https://t.co/DLPrEZbXcU

It was an influencer on X who responded to Tacha, pointing out that she was trending because she kept forcing herself into conversations about a show she claimed to be bigger than. This sheds light on the perception that Tacha inserted herself into the BBNaija conversation, becoming a central topic throughout the show’s run.
