The presidency is not taking kindly to speculations that President Muhammadu Buhari embarked on a 10-day working visit to London, United Kingdom for medical attention.
Special Adviser on Media and Publcity to the President, Femi Adesina wondered why many Nigerians were reading different meanings into the “private” trip.
In a Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’, the presidential aide however said that anyone was free to believe what they liked.
Adesina said, “Those who want to interpret everything, those who want to believe all things should just believe that it is a private trip.
“When a man goes on a private trip, he has the right to use his time the way he deems because he has the right to private time.
“So those who want to believe it’s a medical trip, they have the right to believe, if it pleases them and makes them happier.”
Buhari embarked on the UK trip hours after commissioning some projects in Borno State on Thursday.
