Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho says the Yoruba Nation rally scheduled for July 3 will go ahead as planned.
The confirmation came amid an appeal from the All Progressives Congress (APC) UK Chapter to Igboho to shelve the rally.
Chairman of APC UK, Dr Phillip Idaewo said in a statement last week that there were other ways for the Yoruba Nation group to channel their agitations rather than engage in a rally that might be hijacked by hoodlums to unleash terror on Lagos residents.

But speaking through his media aide, Onaolapo Omiyale Ademola, Igboho said that nothing could change his mind on the planned “mega” rally.
He reiterated that the rally would proceed irrespective of its security implication.
However, the Lagos State Police Command said it was not aware of any rally planned by Igboho.
“I am not aware of Sunday Igboho’s planned Lagos rally.
“When the command is aware, the command will react to that. For now, we are not aware of that,” command spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi told reporters.
