In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Yhemo Lee shared the details of how he pleaded with Olamide to give Asake a chance in the music industry. He explained that it all began when he collaborated with DanDizzy and YKB on a single. As fate would have it, Olamide stumbled upon the track, liked it, and reached out.

According to Yhemo Lee, Olamide initially requested DanDizzy’s contact information, expressing his desire to collaborate with him. It was during their online interactions that Yhemo Lee seized the opportunity to advocate for Asake. He hoped that Olamide would bless Asake with a verse on a song but never anticipated a full-fledged record deal.

To Yhemo Lee’s surprise, after a few conversations, Olamide asked him to send an audio clip. Without hesitation, Yhemo Lee promptly recorded the clip and sent it back to Olamide. It was during these discussions that Olamide began discussing promotional strategies and expressed his interest in signing Asake to his renowned record label, YBNL.
