With people yet to get over the Stoman Douglas shooting that occurred just last month, there have been reports of another school shooting in Great Mills High School, Maryland.
According to CNN, there have been no records of death or casualties at the moment and they also report that the Sheriff’s office have said that the incident has been contained.
CNN also reports that a spokesman for the FBI’s Baltimore field office said its agents are on the scene of the incident. Special agents from the ATF’s Baltimore office are en route to the reported shooting, that office tweeted.
A Pupil of the school, Mollie Davis tweeted: ‘Hi Twitter. I am in Great Mills HS. ‘My school is on a very real lockdown threat and there’s already someone possibly dead. Please pray for us.’
Another student, Jonathan Freese, said he was in lockdown in his math class.
“I’m still a little shaken up,” he said.
Freese said the school had held drills a couple of times for this kind of situation.
“I didn’t really expect for this to happen. I do always feel safe, though, because they always have police at the school,” he said.
Before this incident, there have been 16 confirmed school shootings this year in the United States with the Stoneman Douglas shooting being the most recent.
