West Bromwich Albion have fined Osaze Odemwingie N19m for his latest outburst on Twitter.
The striker has been punished with a second fine of two weeks’ wages by Albion’s board after criticizing the club in a string of attacks on the social networking website.
The latest outburst could have gotten Odemwingie sacked but the club will not be going that way though it is now almost sure that he will be sold in the summer with one year left on his contract.
In a wide-ranging rant he also hinted that he had taken steroid injections to be fit for matches and said his team-mates were unhappy with his salary.
Odemwingie infuriated Albion in January after submitting a transfer request and then driving to Loftus Road on deadline day in a bid to push through a move to Queens Park Rangers.
His latest meltdown takes his fines this year to nearly N38m, though there are no plans to force him into deleting his Twitter account.
