Tottenham Hotspurs forward, Emmanuel Adebayor has said of all the African teams headed to the World Cup, he expects the Nigerian team to perform most creditably well.
He explained that Super Eagles because of its coach, Stephen Keshi, who managed Togo between 2004 and 2006 and qualified the team for the 2006 World Cup, will perform creditably well.
“Out of these teams, it [my choice for which of the African teams will go the furthest] would be Nigeria because of its concentration. Because of Stephen Keshi [the coach] – he knows a lot about football and everything. He has been there as well as a player for Nigeria.
“And the team has got Victor Moses, who is a great friend of mine, and I like the way he plays. Jon Obi Mikel played a lot for Chelsea this year and showed how good he is. Their goalkeeper (Enyeama) is very good. Nigeria has all the ingredients to be good in the World Cup,” Adebayor said.
