The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Hajia A’isha Abubakar in collaboration with Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) on Saturday mobilized women for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in Sokoto State.
Addressing the women groups, the Minister who expressed satisfaction on President Buhari leadership noted that his administration has transformed the country for the better.
Abubakar called on Nigerians to elect all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general election to ensure continuity of good governance.
She said that the Buhari leadership had excellently done well at enhancing security, fight against corruption, agriculture, job creation and youths employment.
”This have been translated on youths and women empowerments as well as other economic activities.”
The leaders of BSO, Hajia Sa’adatu Yusuf and Alhaji Fodio Umar, said President Buhari deserved re-election in recognition of the giant strides he made in adding value to lives of Nigerians.
They explained that laudable developments were recorded on infrastructure, social intervention schemes and others that needed to be sustained for the next level.
The APC Women Leader, Hajiya Rabi Tudunwada, said the APC administration had laid a solid foundation for the development of Nigerian youths and women.
”And so, there is the need to support the government to consolidate on its achievements so far,” she added.
In their separate remarks, Wives of APC Governorship candidate and his deputy, Hajia Fatima Ahmad and Hajia Saratu Faruku, urged the women to embark on door-to-door campaign for Buhari to consolidate on the fight against insurgency and other developments.
The Wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr Zainab Bagudu, advised the women not to apply henna on the hands so that card reader would not reject their finger prints during the electiin.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that 2000 women from Sokoto and Kebbi states attended the gathering which witnessed discussions, questions and answers on election modalities as well as credibility of candidates. (NAN)
