Florence Omagbemi, coach of Super Falcons, on Monday said that the team was ready to take on Ghana in its second Group B match at the on-going Women African Cup of Nations.
Omagbemi, speaking via a social media platform, said that the team would play against the Black Queens of Ghana on Wednesday at Stade Limbe with the same zeal it played Mali.
“We are happy that we won our first game against Mali and we are trying to refocus our minds to our game against Ghana.
“We will take the Ghanaian team just like any other team we are playing. We will approach the game just like we approached the Malian game.
“With God on our side, we hope for the best,” Omagbemi said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nigeria had earlier thrashed Mali 6-0 while Ghana had defeated Kenya 3-1 in each of their opening games.
Nigeria and Ghana both have three points each in Group B.
The tournament, which began on Saturday, Nov. 19, is expected to end on Dec.3 (NAN)
