A woman aged 59 has been accused of transforming her appearance to avoid repayment of her debt profile estimated at $3.7million.
According to report, police officers were astonished after picking up the debtor who was reported to have fled from the south eastern city of Shenzhen after she was ordered by a court in Wuhan to pay off her debt.
The woman was reported to have proceeded to change her face in order to avoid repayment of the debt she had incurred.
Police sources after re-arresting her said: “We were very surprised at the scene.”
State news agency, Xinhua, further reported the police source to have added: “She looked in her 30s and was different from the photos we had.”
The culprit identified as Zhu Najuan following her re-arrest was reported to have confessed to using other people’s identity cards to travel across the country by train.
She further revealed that she paid for her plastic surgery using borrowed bank cards.
