A woman has been dragged before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for assault, after she allegedly stabbed her landlord with a broken bottle over a quarrel that occurred between them.
The 31-year-old woman identified as Ololade Aigboje reportedly stabbed her landlord, Mr. Aderibigbe Alao on November 13 at a filling station in the Lagos suburb of Alagbado, the court heard.
The police prosecutor Insp. Edet Okoi told that the accused stabbed her landlord in the left palm, which caused him to bleed seriously.
According to Okoi, the accused’s actions contravened section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N20,000 with a surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned till December 9.
