A US woman who reportedly stabbed her boyfriend after yelling at him for eating all of the salsa has pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
Phyllis Jefferson, 50, from northeast Ohio was accused of stabbing Ronnie Buckner, 61, in March at his apartment.
Buckner said he was trying to catch a television set Jefferson had knocked over when she picked up a small kitchen knife and stabbed him in the stomach.
Earlier, Buckner said, she had jammed a pen into the left side of his pelvis.
But Jefferson’s lawyer said she stabbed him because she just learnt he was a registered sex offender.
Jefferson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on Monday, and will be sentenced later, Cleveland.com reported.
