A woman identified as Hajiya Bilkisu Mahmoud on Monday slumped and died after waiting for several hours to see the Niger State Governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, in his office.
The 46-year-old woman was said to have waited for some hours to see the governor but suddenly slumped about three minutes after she was ushered into the governor’s office.
She was immediately rushed to the Minna General Hospital in a Government House Ambulance where doctors confirmed her dead.

The late Mahmoud was a former Staff Officer to the Niger State deputy governor.
She was said to be suffering from asthma.
According to sources close to the Government House, Minna, Mahmoud was on a private visit to Aliyu as her name was not among the names on the protocol list to see the governor.
Mahmoud, a mother of three, retired from the state civil service three years ago and until her death, was a staff of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency.
There had been no official statement from the government as of the time of filling this report, but the governor was said to have hurriedly left his office after the incident.
