A woman allegedly killed her paraplegic ex-boyfriend by leaving him to freeze to death in the woods.
Ruby Kate Coursey, 27, was charged with the murder of Troymaine Johnson, 33, after dropping him off on a dirt road near a hunting camp in Upson County, Middle Georgia, Yahoo news reports.
Johnson was last seen on March 14 with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation finding his body on March 17.
Authorities later determined Johnson died of hypothermia from overexposure to the wood’s cold night weather.
Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore said Johnson had only partial use of one of his arms and neither of his legs.
“There was absolutely no way he’d be able to get out of there or call for help,” he said.
Sherif Kilgore alleged she crashed her vehicle through a gate to get access to the woods.
She is yet to enter a plea to her charges.
