A 29-year-old woman, Peculiar Etim, who allegedly stole N345,930 from her employer, on Tuesday appeared in a an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

The police charged Etim, whose residential address was not given, with two counts of conspiracy and theft.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against her by the police.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Ingobo Emby, told the court that the defendant stole the money from her employer while she was hypnotised.
Emby alleged that the men used charms on the defendant and she committed the offence on Feb. 21, at 9 a.m. at No. 41b, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
He said that the defendant conspired with others, at large and stole N345, 930, belonging to the complainant, Sarah Edwin-Cole.
The offence, contravened the provisions of sections 287 (7) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate A. O. Alogba admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until March 27 for mention.
