A 26-year-Old Woman welcomed a baby girl that grew as a result of a frozen Embryo 24 years prior to the time she was delivered.
Baby Emma Gibson who weighed 6oz at birth was originally frozen on the 14th of October 1992 and if she had been born then she would have been almost the same age as her new mum, Tina Gibson who is 26 years old.
The mother stated that “If the baby was born when it was supposed to born, we could have been best friends,”
She also added “We’re just so thankful and blessed. She’s a precious Christmas gift from the Lord, We’re just so grateful.”
The transfer of the Embryo into the mother’s uterus was performed by the National Embryo donation center in Tennessee.
The National Embryo Donation center is a faith-based organisation that encourages people to donate leftover embryo that resulted from IVF to Couples who are finding it difficult to conceive.
Dr Jeffrey Keenan of the NEDC supervised the embryo transfer. According to him, it was impossible to be sure whether it had set a record in the process of being born, but it was likely.
