3 Min Read

Doctors keep saying rest is essential for a healthy body and mind and advises extended periods of rest for busy individuals, something which the Lions seem to be taking seriously.

An Oregon woman was gifted an unusual surprise when the she came home to find a mountain Lion apparently taking a nap in her living room.

The woman who explained the scenario on facebook revealed that the lion had come in to her home through an open back door after drinking water from a nearby pond in her backyard.

This is wild. There’s a mountain lion in our living room. Loving her to peace so she’ll go out safely. Update: (Spoiler alert!)
The last video I shared below shows her leaving peacefully after calming down and napping behind the sofa for over six hours. I’m adding this here, along with the photos and videos of her snuggling and sleeping, because they’ve become buried behind other comments and I feel a responsibility to get this out so as not to sow fear.
The woman explained on her facebook.

She further wrote that her living room had huge plants and stairs that were built around real branches, giving it the feel of being in a jungle. She said the lion probably did not realise it was walking indoors until it was inside.

The presence of the Lion had startled Taylor’s roommate, who screamed upon seeing the mountain lion. This prompted the wild animal to hide behind the sofa, where it snoozed for several hours.

According to the woman, she made noises to wake the Lion but “gazed lovingly into her eyes, and communicated using feline-speak eye blinking to calm her,”

She wrote further,

“It was amazing to realize that this worked. I gazed lovingly then blinked hard and then she did it back,” she added that the cat then went back to sleep because “She clearly felt safe and she showed no inclination to leave.”

The woman decided to chase the Lion out of her home about a couple of hours to dawn without alarming it so much and proceeded to use a drum to encourage the lion to exit the home
