A man, Devine Chitsiko has been left with severe burns after his wife of seven months, Angela, poured hot water on him.
The husband had reportedly incurred his wife’s wrath after telling her three children from a previous marriage that he no longer wanted them around.
Chitsiko, who is presently being treated at Kariba Hospital , Zimbabwe, suffered severe burns to his face and body.
Immediately after the incident occurred and before she could be apprehended, Angela reportedly fled and has never been sighted since.
A witness who preferred anonymity told Iharare: “The two had a heated argument on Saturday night after Chitsiko said he no longer wanted to look after Angela’ s three children she had with another man.
“They recently moved in together and their marriage is barely seven months old. It was their agreement that the children would be taken care of by Chitsiko, who is now chasing them away.
“Angela was angry that her husband had a change of mind and in an act of fury , she poured hot water on him.”
Chitsiko pleaded with the authorities to fish out his wife and punish her for her crime.
