A woman and her two grown children have reportedly committed suicide after they were rejected by relatives and friends, following the death of her husband due to complications from coronavirus.
Parimi Snuneetha, 50, her son Narasaiah Phanikumar, 25, and 23-year-old daughter Lakshmi Aparna, took their own lives by jumping off a bridge in Andhra Pradesh’s Rajahmundry on Wednesday. August 19.

Police disclosed that, after the death of 52-year-old Narasaiah, who was infected with Coronavirus four days ago, his family fell into depression.
Officers claimed they felt “humiliated” after relatives and friends failed to sympathize with them after their grave loss.
According to police, a suicide note was discovered in the family’s car close to the bridge. The message in the note revealed that the family was a victim of the social stigma surrounding the virus and decided to take their own lives..
Police are still trying frantically to recover the bodies from the river.
It was also reported that the social stigma around coronavirus in India has seen some sufferers and their families being treated as outcasts.
According to India Today, a mum in West Bengal tried to kill herself and her two children last month after her husband died of Coronavirus.
The family were rescued by villagers.
India is one of the worst hit countries with coronavirus cases, recording over 2.8 million confirmed persons and over 53 thousand reported deaths since the first outbreak in the country.
Amid the chaos of the ravaging onslaught of coronavirus in India, hospitals and health centers have been reported to reject patients exhibiting symptoms or confirmed positive for the virus, thereby leading to more deaths.
Individuals have been advised to practice good hygiene and better preventive habits in order to mitigate the spread of the virus in the country.
