America Singer and Record producer, Akon said in an interview that he signed Wizkid and Davido back in the days, to boost their musical careers but it later turned out otherwise.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, the American singer made a revelation about Nigeria’s biggest acts, Psquare, Wizkid and Davido and how “in Africa, especially in Nigeria, music contracts are not honoured.
Furthermore, he added that he loves Davido and wizkid regardless, but loves Davido more for his independent nature and his hustling spirit despite his struggles in Atlanta as a young musician.

Talking about Afrobeat as well, he claimed he was the one that shipped that kind of music to the world.
