In an unanimous decision, the Supreme Court has upheld the election of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. The decision of the apex court put to rest all the controversy surrounding his election as governor as well as the legal claims of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Dakuku Peterside.
The Supreme Court has said it will provide the reasons for its decision on February 12th.
Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun set aside the ruling of the Court of Appeal which nullified the election of Wike.
