The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Ali Modu-Sheriff has opened up on why he stayed on with the party as the national chairman and leader even when he was faced with oppositions within the party.
Ali Modu-Sheriff while speaking with Channels TV presenters said he was contacted by some members within the PDP who begged him to come lead the party.
He said: “I was on my own doing some other business when Ayo Fayose, Governor Wike and others called upon me, almost on their knees begging me to come and be PDP chairman having identified my strength and vigor”.
He continued: “Initially I hesitated but later I succumbed to their pressure.
“You see, when I agree to do a job, I always ensure that I do it well to the best of my ability and that is what I am currently dong and they are rattled, but am not bothered, that’s who I am”.
