A heartbroken bride is selling £12,000, which is about 4 million naira, of her wedding mementoes on Facebook after finding a love letter which her husband allegedly penned to his ‘secret mistress, signed ‘Your Mr Grey’.
Sarah Williams, 32, from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, married 33-year-old George at a dream wedding in 2011, two years after they had met.
But, four years into their marriage, she claims that she found a letter stashed away in her husband’s work bag, with a reference to the eponymous Christian Grey from the erotic novel Fifty Shades.
The gushing note, which she says was written by her husband, praised the mystery woman for being ‘amazing’, before talking about plans for the future.
The mother-of-three, who has one child with Mr Williams, is now using Facebook to sell all the remnants of her wedding, including her diamante encrusted tiara, her rings and the £1,700 designer dress she wore on the special day.
Mrs Williams, a nursery worker, said: ‘We had a wonderful wedding day and a great honeymoon in Scotland. We married two years after we first met and I thought we were going to be together for the rest of our lives.
Mrs Williams is hoping to divorce her husband later this year once her finances have settled down.
She said: ‘I really want to sell the items from my wedding day to George so I can move on with my life.
‘It would be great to treat the kids to a nice holiday once I’ve sold my head band, dress and rings.
‘I would’ve been tempted to sell any wedding gifts too but we only received cash and I allowed the bridesmaid to keep their dresses.’
