For the second time in less than a month, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.
The first time the idea of a BoT meeting was mooted was on December 18, 2015, when it was postponed for failure to form a quorum.
The latest would have held on Thursday but the party has decided to shelf the idea, but this time indefinitely.
Giving the reason behind the party’s decision, Secretary of the BoT, Senator Walid Jibrin, said it was postponed to allow wider consultation with key party stakeholders because of the sensitivity nature of the issues to be discussed at the meeting.
“We can no longer hold the meeting as scheduled because we discovered that we need wider consultation to enable us take far-reaching decisions,” he told The Nation.
