Why Our Witty Twitter Handler Left – EFCC Explains

2 Min Read

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has taken to its social media page to reveal the reason behind the decision of its former social media handler, Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi known as F-Shaw to quit the service of the anti-graft agency.

Recall that the identity of the handler of the anti-graft agency’s social media page went viral days ago after the commission thanked him for his service in a farewell message.

EFCC further to the message promised Nigerians of more witty replies and comments and in line with this, the agency on its Facebook page explained the real reason behind F-Shaw’s decision to quit the agency.

In the statement released titled: “EFCC Twitter Handler: Reason Why He Left”, the commission revealed that the former handler quit to pursue his music career.

The statement reads: “Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi worked in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Commission since November 2014 where he exhibited his talent as a consummate professional.

Before moving on, he managed the twitter handle of the Commission; @officialEFCC amongst other assignments.

Adeyemi harboured personal dreams even before assuming duties at the Commission and he has now decided to fulfill those dreams.

Like a parent that finds joy in seeing a child grow, we are happy for Adeyemi because the Eagle must be allowed to soar.

And, like the Eagle that always maintains its nest, Adeyemi’s home remains the EFCC.

The world and Twitter have certainly not seen the last of “The Handler”.
