Nigeria U-23 forward, Victor Osimhen’s much-anticipated move to VfL Wolfsburg of Germany may be put on hold as a dispute has arisen between the player’s family and the agent that took him to Germany.
Recall that Osimhen had dazzled the world at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, where he scored 11 goals to become the competition’s record goal scorer.
However, since exploits at the event, his football career has been a subject of speculation, with him been linked with several top-flight European clubs.
It was gathered that Osimhen’s family are at loggerheads with the agent – Liameed Olawale Gafar, who is Chief Executive Officer of 36 Lion – for allegedly taking the youngster to Germany without the family’s knowledge and the father’s consent.
The family wondered why the said agent was parading himself as Osimhen’s agent without their consent and threatened to report the matter to FIFA if he doesn’t desist.
