Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad says former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode will not be accepted back by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fani-Kayode, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), set tongues wagging on Monday when he held talks with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni.
Although the ex-minister insisted that the meeting was for “bridge-building”, many observers insisted it was a prelude to defection.
But reacting via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Ahmad said many members of the party would not accept Fani-Kayode should he decide to rejoin the party as he had insulted them for several years.
“If he decides to join the governing party, I don’t think he will be welcome by the majority of the party members whom he made it a duty to attack and insult for several years,” Ahmad wrote.
