The senator representing Delta Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, on Tuesday told the senate ad-hoc committee investigating the stolen mace of the chamber.
Omo-Agege said he could not respond to the questions posed by the Sen. Bala Ibn Na’Allah-led committee as the case was already in court.
Omo-Agege appeared before the committee on Tuesday.
“Ordinarily, I will love to take these opportunity to respond to the allegations raised but I am here to inform you that I have gone to court and parties have been served.
“The action was taken on the 21st of May, 2018 and all the parties enumerated have been served,” he said.
Hoodlums had on April 18 invaded the chamber and made away with the mace in full glare of security personnel in the chamber.
The stolen mace was later found under a bridge in Abuja.
Omo-Agege said that Saraki and Na’Allah were defendants in the case he filed on the stolen mace issue.
However, Na’Allah said that he had not been served.
