Brazilian legend, Ronaldo Nazario De Lima has revealed why he left Barcelona.
The powerful forward, who arrived in 1996 from PSV Eindhoven, left Barcelona in 1997 for Inter Milan, in circumstances similar to Neymar’s.
However, the two-time World Cup winner has finally revealed why he quit the Blaugrana.
In an interview with Inter TV, He said, “I was negotiating to extend my contract with Barcelona.
“But we didn’t finally reach an agreement.
“That’s when I decided I didn’t want to continue there, because I didn’t trust the board.
“Inter offered me a great challenge, and at that time Serie A was one of the most competitive leagues in the world, certainly the most difficult.”
Ronaldo spent five years at Inter Milan before moving to Real Madrid after the 2002 World Cup where he was the Golden Boot winner.
