The Governor of Bayelsa, Senator Douye Diri, has explained that he attended popular musician, Timaya’s New Year show on Monday night to support the growth of the entertainment industry in the state.
Diri showered praise on the singer for the show, which was held at the Ox-Bow Lake Pavilion, Yenagoa.
“The “Timaya Day” show was a big one in Yenagoa and I was there with top government functionaries to enjoy myself and support my brother and a worthy son of the State, Sampou-born Timaya.
“I wish to appreciate Timaya, and his friends, DBanj, Phyno, Tekno, Perruzi, Portable and influential skits producer, “Investor Sabinus”, for lightening up the State capital.
“My physical presence at the show is a demonstration of the commitment of the Prosperity Government to the growth of the entertainment industry,” Diri said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
