The spokesman of Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Mr Yinka Odumakin, has urged Nigerians to “try other hands” in the 2019 general election.
Odumakin made this known in an interview with The Sun published on Saturday.
He said Nigerians needed to change the ruling government to move the nation forward and arrest the mounting security challenges across the country.
He lamented the inability of the Buhari government to restructure the country in three years, despite a promise to do so during the 2015 presidential campaign.
Odumakin said, “We (Afenifere) wanted the country to be restructured so that we can start on a fresh slate, the government that spent three years without carrying out restructuring, I doubt if it will do so before next year’s election. Therefore, in the next election, we are going to bring in a government that will restructure Nigeria on the path of productivity.
“We need to try other hands in order to move the country forward and stop the killings going on across the country at the moment.”
