The Special Adviser to the president, Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has revealed the reason why the president may remain in the United Kingdom for an extended period.
Recall that Buhari had traveled to the United Kingdom in January after requesting for a 10-day medical vacation which he further extended.
In a statement issued by the president’s aide, Femi Adesina disclosed that the president may have to remain in the United Kingdom because “test results showed Buhari needed a longer period of rest.”
Femi Adesina in the full press statement also passed the president’s gratitude to Nigerians across.
The statement reads:
“PRESIDENT BUHARI THANKS NIGERIANS FOR PRAYERS; SAYS NO CAUSE FOR WORRY
President Muhammadu Buhari thanks millions of Nigerians who have been sending good wishes and praying for his health and well-being in mosques and churches throughout the country.
The President is immensely grateful for the prayers, show of love and concern.
President Buhari wishes to reassure Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.
During his normal annual checkup, tests showed he needed a longer period of rest, necessitating the President staying longer than originally planned.”
