National Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has revealed why the party’s Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Committee visited his Ikoyi, Lagos residence on Thursday.
The Herald can report that Buni, the Chairman of the Committee and Yobe State Governor and Atiku Bagudu, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Kebbi State Governor, led the committee into a meeting with the National Leader.
Speaking to journalists after the closed-door meeting with the committee, the former Lagos State Governor described it as “a consultation to move the party forward following the recent disagreements among some aggrieved members.”
However, he denied rumour of his involvement in the rancour that plagued the party in recent times.
Tinubu said it was normal for a large party like the APC to frequently experience differences of opinion and dissent.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Secretary of APC Caretaker Committee, Senator Akpan Udo-Edehe, and others were in the meeting.
