Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has emerged as Nigeria’s most valuable player after a research group, International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory, released a list of football’s most valuable players.
Ndidi was in the top 100 and is valued at £62.7 million.
The Nigerian midfielder has developed in leaps and bounds ever since joining the former Premier League champions and his eye-catching performances has brought him to the attention of bigger clubs, a good World Cup could mean a possible move to a bigger club.
Harry Kane surprisingly topped the list valued at £201.2 million, while Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar was number 2 at £195.7 million and France youngster Kylian Mbappe in third position at £186.5 million.
Liverpool’s Mo Salah was the highest African on the list and also the only one to crack the top 10. He was in the fifth position and is valued at £171.3m.

Ndidi will be at the World Cup with Nigeria and is expected to play a part in the country’s last friendly against Czech Republic on Wednesday before the World Cup begins.
