White House Defends Trump Amid Leaked Chat Controversy

1 Min Read

The White House has come to the defense of President Trump amid mounting pressure and calls for resignations from Democrats following the leak of a private conversation about US military strikes.

The conversation, which took place on the Signal messaging app, involved senior government officials, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

According to reports, the officials discussed the strikes on the Houthis in Yemen, sharing sensitive operational details. The leak has raised concerns about national security and the handling of classified information.

Democrats are demanding resignations, with Virginia Senator Mark Warner calling for Hegseth and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz to step down. Warner argued that if a similar leak had been caused by an intelligence officer, that individual would have been fired.

However, the White House has accused Democrats of ignoring the fact that the President and his team had eliminated terrorists who targeted US troops and disrupted a significant shipping route. The White House maintains that the administration’s actions to hold the Houthis accountable have been a success.
