After months of anticipation, WhatsApp Dark Mode is nearly ready. Some users have begun testing the Beta version of the update on Android and iOS according to a WABetaInfo report, a blog that tracks Whatsapp’s developments.
No official date has been announced for the release of the Dark Mode update but based on the beta versions show great promise and we should have a stable update soon.
The iOS dark theme is ready, except for:
No status updates cell.
WhatsApp Settings > Profile cells.
Phone number, About, Business details cells in Contact info.
Encryption cell.
Contacts list cells.
Storage Usage cells.
Cells in Backup section.
Wrong group description cell color.

The above tweet from WABetaInfo shows some of the issues bugging the Beta version. They remarked that
“WhatsApp can fix these in 15 minutes. The real problem is that we don’t know when they will do.”
They are also saying the dark mode may be visible – that is when trying to pick a picture or a file from your phone the dark mode is maintained.
