The Kwara state party chairman, Akogu Iyiola, has said that the party would not accept the embattled Senate president, Bukola Saraki back into its fold when the All Progressives Congress (APC) “strips him naked”.
“APC is in disarray and Saraki is about to be made politically naked. He is looking for a shelter in case the broom sweeps him away.
“Is this the time to allow him to take refuge under the umbrella? The mistake of 2003 must not be allowed to repeat itself in 2016,” he said.
Akogu stated this while addressing selected party leaders from the 16 local government areas on Monday, April 19.
Saraki had defected to the ruling party from the PDP shortly before the general elections.
