National U-23 team coach, Samson Siasia, has said he is sure of victory in the second leg of the 2015 Africa U-23 Championship qualifying fixture against Congo in Pointe Noire on Sunday.
Nigeria hold a slim 2-1 win from the first leg of the match played in Port Harcourt a fortnight ago. But the coach who spoke before the team’s departure for Congo on Thursday expressed utmost confidence in his players’ ability to grab the three points at stake adding that he loves to play big games.
“I love big games, and I’m not shy to say so. This is with every sense of modesty. Pointe Noire is another tough session, but I look forward to it,” Siasia told the Nigeria Football Federation’s official website.
“It will not be easy; nothing good in life comes easy. But we will give it our very best shot and return from Pointe Noire with victory.”
The former Nigeria international has played against tough teams in his previous spells with the team. Hence the Congo match would not be really a new one to him.
