We Need to Start Keeping it Real- Eldee The Don Advises on Depression

2 Min Read

Veteran Rapper, Eldee the Don has joined the subtle campaign against depression. For a while, many individuals from different parts of the world have died by committing suicide after battles with depression and Nigerians are not left out. There has been a sudden increase in the number of depressed people in the country, and just recently, a popular DJ took his own life.

Eldee has now addressed the issue of depression by sharing a post on his Instastories.

We Need to Start Keeping it Real- Eldee The Don Advises on Depression

He urged that Nigerians should be real with everyone they converse with, on social media or in real life as it helps prevent a lot of people from being depressed.

Eldee said, “we need to start keeping it all the way real with one another. Many people are depressed because they don’t think they can keep up with the expectations of society. If we can all keep it all the way real, we’ll be able to tell each other the truth, be able to know those who are in need of our support, and not have to feel a certain way because we can’t keep up with the Joneses. It begins with each one of us living and sharing our truth, no BS, no pretence,.. so that people around us can be comfortable in their own skin and not feel the unnecessary pressure to keep up.”
