The Nigerian army in a statement by Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, the Director, Army Public Relations, has told Nigerians that the army has won the battle over the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and will move to the South West for another operation.
“The general area of the south-east especially Aba in Abia state is now fully stabilized, so we will move to the southwest to launch an operation similar to the Operation Python Dance in the southeast to tackle insecurity issues like the Badoo cult group in Lagos”
The army claimed that Abia state is now peaceful after the crises that rocked Aba in the past week has crippled the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Biafra National Guards (BNG) and other agitators in the southeast.
“We have doused the fire of crises in the region”
“The usual violent activities of the outlawed Biafra “National Guards” (manning check points and extorting money from traders and motorists) have now been checkmated. Similarly, the outlawed Biafra terrorists group presence is no longer visible and people go about their normal businesses without fear, let or hindrance.
. “Despite the initial opposition by IPOB members and sympathisers , the general area of the south-east especially Aba in Abia state is now fully stabilised.” The army spokesperson said.
